About me:

I grew up in a very small mid-western town and started writing
stories and poems in elementary school.  I attended my first
writer's conference at the age of thirteen and was awestruck
when I met children's author Madeline L'Engle.  Here was a
writer with the ability to completely captivate me with her words,
something I hoped to one day accomplish.

At seventeen I moved to Southern California to attend college.
While pursuing my degree, I had the opportunity to work for a
couple who were opening their first health club and eventually
managed their five clubs spread over the LA basin.  That
experience instilled in me a life-long passion for exercise and
fitness.

I met my husband, a former London Metropolitan Policeman
and International Rugby team member, while he was on an
adventure trek around the world.  After graduating from
California State University, Fullerton with a degree in advertising,
I worked in account services for an Orange County ad agency.
On the side I wrote newsletters or freelance projects whenever
the opportunity arose.  After several years, I took a position as a
newspaper staff writer where I got paid to write every single day...a dream come true.  While on one of
many trips to England, I toured a castle ruin, which ignited my imagination and gave me the idea for my
first novel.  I realized then that writing fiction was what I truly wanted to do.

I currently live in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains with my husband, three kids, and two dogs doing the
one thing I love most in the world - spinning stories of romance.
